What this training is about?
The purpose of the ITIL Foundation certificate in IT Service Management is to certify that the candidate has gained knowledge of the ITIL terminology, structure and basic concepts and has comprehended the core principles of ITIL practices for service management. The ITIL Foundation certificate in IT Service Management is not intended to enable the holders of the certificate to apply the ITIL practices for service management without further guidance. Instead this training lays down the basics, allowing the candidate to gain insights into practices and activities enabling agile value co-creation to customers of IT services and products. The official ITIL 4 Foundation exam is only available as a live, online-proctored exam.
What does this mean?
You will need to install a special app on your PC, which blocks all other actions besides the exam, shares your screen with a person dedicated to you and turns on your microphone, webcam and speakers.

The ITIL 4 Foundation certificate is valid for three years after which it needs to be renewed. For this there are different ways including:
- Collecting enough CPD points
- Taking another ITIL exam
