What is Scrum?

Depending on whom you ask, you will get different answers:

As per the Scrum guide – developed and maintained by Jeff Sutherland and Ken Schwaber – Scrum is a framework for developing, delivering, and sustaining complex products. Although Scrum originated in software development teams, it can also be used in variety of situations and industries as well as an alternative to traditional project management a.k.a. predictive models.

Scrum is the most popular Agile framework in the world by far (over 80% of Agile usage as per the latest Agile survey)
It is based on empiricism and allows to deliver business value in an effective manner (speed, quality, reduced waste…)

What do I get out of the training?

First, it is important to know that there are many training organizations on the Swiss market providing Scrum courses. Some are accredited while others are not. They also have different contents and viewpoints in some areas. Nevertheless, the basics and the core of Scrum is the same in any training you might attend as long as you stick to trainings accredited by the 3 big ones (Scrum Alliance, Scrum.org and ScrumInc.).
